Despite the need for some cleanup of editorial errors in the manuscript, the story told in this book is both jaw-dropping and not completely surprising in terms of mission details and how these brave fighting men were stabbed in the back by the politicians at the top of their chain of command respectively. I've listened to interviews of author Chip Tatum many of which were conducted by the late Ted Gunderson (former FBI Bureau Chief in Los Angeles) and Chip's version of events is corroborated by other highly credible witnesses and investigators (Terry Reed, the late Gary Webb, etc). If one's deeds are so foul that "they can never be known", they ought to have never been done in the first place. Sadly, Nixon is but one in a huge cast of these evil characters that have plagued humanity in the past and continue doing so on into the future. One day soon though, every man will be tasked with giving an account for his deeds during this life to his Creator. I imagine that will be a dreadfully uncomfortable encounter for many of these types.Product details

Total BS!!! Much of what Chip writes as it relates to Nakhon Phanom RTAFB while he was supposedly there is bogus. He states he was a combat controller. He wasn't. He states he was flying on a FAC aircraft when the pilot was killed, yet the pilot isn't shown on the wall. One who was actually stationed at that base during the same time frame can find discrepancy after discrepancy.
i have always , since 1969. known tatum to be very truthful
Good book. I am retired military and for us to do our job we needed the backing of our bosses. I cannot believe a senior officer would abandon his troop in the field. He deserves to be court marshaled for murder. Very sad
